My students could greatly benefit from these high-interest, and engaging magazines. Students will learn about a wide variety of subjects from our second grade math and science standards such as presidents day, the pilgrims, Veterans day, fire safety, etc through playing games, looking at realistic photos, and reading age appropriate articles/texts. Students families will also get access to the Scholastic News website, that features fun videos and learning games. I will use these magazines during reading centers and for science, social studies, and health. Your help in making this valuable resource apart of our students education is greatly appreciated.
