We are requesting headsets with microphones so that our students can experience auditory and oral language. They will have the opportunity to hear sounds of letters, words, rhymes and patterns. They will be able to use computers and technology to explore all the facets of language, which will in turn foster second language acquisition. My students need to have many opportunities to use all four language domains, since most of them are English Language Learners. By listening and speaking in English, students will be exposed to lots of new words that they haven't heard before. Through this exposure, they can begin to read and write the words on the paper.
