The reading and math kits that I have requested will help my students to concentrate and work in small groups or independently to build the reading and math skills necessary in school. The laptops will help my students to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology! The laptops will also be utilized in the rotation of small groups. The wobble chairs will help my students who can't sit still or fidget to move with the chairs while still focusing on their work. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in both reading and mathematics. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. With your support, my special education students will have access to reading and math kits to help build knowledge on what they are learning in the classroom in a small group setting without seeing the same materials twice. This will give them rigor and support to achieve success.
