During the pandemic our water fountains were shut off to avoid the spread of COVID. As a result, a lot of students have been bringing in plastic single use bottles that go straight into the recycle bin, or worse, in the trash. While our water fountains remain closed, our bottle refilling stations are now operational again. We would like to offer each student a reusable water bottle since our families often lack the disposable income to purchase reusable water bottles. When each student has a water bottle, we can keep single-use plastic bottles out of our school. This will teach the students and their families that reusing saves money, reduces our carbon footprint, and makes the world around us a little greener.
