Flexible seating will allow my students the opportunity to choose a variety of seating options. We know not every student learns the same, but every student can learn. Flexible seating allows students the ability to modify the traditional chair and desk learning environment and constructs it into a diverse setting with comfort. My students can control what works best for them. The flexible seating creates options for students during Daily Five rotations, math centers, writing, and independent reading. The children will determine where they can be the most successful with their independent or buddy work. Flexible seating allows for students to develop a sense of ownership with their location. The seating will be used daily to enable choice and strengthen the students understanding of options.
