First Graders are curious moving creatures who incorporate their movement to all their learning! So in order to maximize their learning, I want to embrace their natural movements into our classroom learning instead of avoiding it! I think we have to allow children to be children and all children need to move and feel comfortable doing it! That is why I would love to have flexible seating in my classroom. Having flexible seating will enhance my children's learning experience! What I am requesting for my classroom is a classroom set of wobble stools! We would utilize these stools for children to be able to move while still actually sitting! They would use them at their desks while still working on their daily work! Incorporating this natural movement will keep students engaged and less distracted. I think my students would greatly appreciate this because they know that something like this is not easy to come by especially in our district! As a teacher, all we want is to maximize our students learning and I think this would greatly help that goal!
