The requested reading books and posters will enhance reluctant readers to read more. These selected items will indeed capture their high school interest because personal connections will be made. The books that will be purchased will have characters that faced many academic and personal life challenges; however, they never gave up on themselves. Instead, they used their wisdom and listening skills to bring forth numerous positive contributions into their own communities. The students will use the headphones with microphones in order to listen to the audiobooks and view the videos that go along with the books. Afterwards, they could complete high order reading organizers and summarize the videos and books by using textual evidence.These are the exact innovative ideas, the teacher aims to instill in her current high school students in the reading program. As for the posters, they will set forth a motivational message to read continuously. The posters will also help to review applicable reading and vocabulary strategies that could be used during their administered state exams. Students must be surrounded by multicultural reading materials and empowering individuals that will create a risk taking learning environment.
