My students love to engage with the world around them! I want my students to love coming to school every day and that starts the second they walk into my classroom. I don't want my students to sit silently and complete morning work each day, so I provide them with morning tubs. These tubs contain materials that allow them the opportunity to create, explore, build, and problem-solve. My students are creators and explorers, and they deserve materials that allow them to do so. I need more morning tub materials to provide my students with a variety of experiences that will help them to work together and actively learn. The materials I'm requesting are magna-tiles, building bricks, design blocks, and a blueprints learning center. The students will use all of these materials to build their own creations, as well as use blueprints provided to try to match what they see. By using the materials this way, the students will have the opportunity to be designers and architects, as well problem-solvers. We will not only use these tools during our morning routine, but we will use them during math, literacy, and science activities so they can experience the hands-on learning that they need. We will use them for contests such as which team can build the tallest tower, who can make a structure that will stand up even when blown by wind, as well as building habitats for animals. By donating to my project, you are providing my students with materials that will help them to foster teamwork, creativity, and an overall love of learning. Your support will empower them to be thinkers and explorers and will help me to create a classroom that is full of engagement, exploring, and fun!
