The tablets and Bloxels builder sets in my cart will let my students create their own video game. Bloxels is a build-your-own video game set that lets students create their own playable video game with a hands-on blocks and frame set-up. I want them to do this not only to for the experience of creating a game itself, but also so they can see a new way to respond to things. I want us to make video games interpreting literature, history, and science. This STEM/STEAM focused project puts students in the programmer's seat and challenges them to not just create, but interpret. My kids can do it; they just need the equipment.
