Magnetic base ten blocks and ten frames will make it easy for students to understand base ten math concepts. They will be great for hands-on exploration and a variety of skill-building math activities and skills, including place value, comparing numbers, ordering numbers, addition, subtraction and powers of ten. The magnetic pieces of money and shapes (as well as the tangram pictures) will enhance students' learning of money, recognizing shapes, naming shapes, comparing shapes, composing shapes and partitioning shapes. In addition, the headphones will allow students to explore their math curriculum online via Chrome books, iPads, and iPods to experience a digital medium of learning. Furthermore, the organizational paper holding bins will allow students to organize their completed work in designated boxes. Also, I am certain that my students will learn how their math skills apply in the "real world" when I use the play cash register to open a "class store"! My students will love being engaged using these manipulatives and organizational supplies!
