The area my students struggle with the most is ELA. Many do not have access to books at home and come to us below grade level in reading. I struggle to find and purchase books for them to read and keep them engaged due to lack of funds. Our school just received new ELA curriculum with an amazing technology component that is so diverse and has many resources for students to take advantage of in the classroom; however, our school does not have resources to provide technology for all studnents. Having Chromebooks in my classroom will benifit my small group instruction students to stay engaged in reading and writing and also help them prepare for state assessments.
