Hello~ My name is Teri Joseph and I am teaching 5th grade at Woodstock Elementary in Portland, Oregon. I am in quite a unique situation, as I was hired three days before the first day of school. As you can imagine, it was quite a challenge just to get the right amount of desks in a room that was not set up to be a 5th grade class. The reason for the last minute hire was due to the fact enrollment was much higher than anticipated, so the district opened a new room, five days before the beginning of the year. Needless to say, the room's needs are enormous. The picture included here shows ALL of the books in my room, including the curriculum. I have no curriculum and hardly any books. I am building a room from scratch on the fly. I would love some support in creating a classroom library to engage and support my students learning. Thank you.
