I teach in a high needs area in Philadelphia. My students have to overcome a lot to arrive at school everyday ready and eager to learn. They are some of the most special kids in the world! They deserve to come to a school where they feel safe and have a comfortable learning environment where they can have the same experiences children in other areas have. I like to do many hands-on projects with them. Children learn best when they have engaging learning activities. My goal for this school year is to teach and reach the whole child, not just with academics but their social and emotional well-being also.
