An online subscription to TIME for Kids (Edge) will allow our students to access current events issues in the USA and around the World. These tools will help support our Social Studies curriculum, while also allowing the students to learn about not just their own, but surrounding cultures. Articles will give us access to non-fiction text, an area in language arts that students often struggle with, and help us to bridge that text in both the ELA and the Social Studies classrooms. In addition, students will be able to choose engaging, non-fiction text that fits their current interests and open their minds to new topics and cultures.

About my class
