My visual, hands-on English language learners need a Promethean Board for learning engagement and hands on manipulatives. Our class projector broke in June and I would love to support my ELL students with technology in the classroom. The Promethean Board accommodates to different learning styles students have. One of those is the audio element; for example, they add to speaking and listening practice which the bilingual students need a lot of practice in. Interactive boards allow many different forms of media - including photos, maps, educational games, and video to be displayed. These tools not only enrich the classroom experience but also help to expand the nature of content that can be used in learning. They will be more involved in their own learning, and the exploration will increase problem-solving skills. This project will help make our classroom high demand in regards to motivating students to want to learn and participate. It would be valuable to be able to provide my students with hands-on tools so that they can more deeply understand concepts being taught. We also need basic supplies such as chart paper for visual aids, pencils, and a pencil sharpener to support classroom learning.
