They will begin to gain ownership of their learning experience through cooperative learning groups and the remediation of standards. Students will discuss and help peers by using various protocols that require them to explain their thinking on whiteboards, during a time I call a meeting at the board room. Students will also be able to use the daily warm up exercise book in order for them to keep track of the subject matter they have been able to obtain, and it will help to determine what still needs to be remediated. Students will receive bracelets as an incentive as well.
