Many of my students do not have assess to books at home. Some of my students enter my classroom without ever having books read to them at home. My job as their teacher is to show them how important reading is in order to succeed in life. Since reading is a necessary skill to have in life, my goal through this project is to ignite the spark within my students for reading. I am asking for copies of thirty books including The Itsy Bitsy Bunny; Pete the Cat: Big Easter Adventure; and Beach Day. The books I have chosen will complete my Themed Book Baskets that are available in my Reading Center. I know my students will enjoy having the books to look at and read.
