My students will be so excited to receive their Scholastic News each week! This is a weekly nonfiction magazine for classrooms. They use science, social studies, and current events to create an interest and focus on building content knowledge, vocabulary, and nonfiction reading skills. The magazines get more challenging throughout the school year as children become better readers. The magazine will add more literature to our classroom to help with fluency and comprehension skills, while also supporting the curriculum. The students are also able to take these home each week! The Animals nonfiction book set features 36 books (6 titles, 6 copies each) that will be great for independent or small-group reading. This will give us more resources in our nonfiction library! The Animal Book Set connects to our science curriculum will build core reading skills.
