The students in my school come from a lower income community and do not have access to the activities that can be found using a telescope. Students will be able to see various celestial objects, and get a better, real life understanding of what they are learning. A telescope can be a gift that keeps on giving to not only the current and future students, but to their families and community. Many of the families in our district have not had the opportunity to see objects in space. I would like to encourage students to pursue an education in science after they leave my classroom.
