I teach 7th Grade Language Arts at Tecumseh Junior High School. My students are avid readers, and a handful of students had already read more than one book by the end of the first week back at school! I can already tell that my students are going to devour all of the books in my classroom library, as well as the school library before the year is over. My classes are very diverse, and my students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. I try my best to find books that they can relate to, connect with, and learn from, all while having fun. Amazing things can happen when a student finds a book that they relate to on a personal level and that deals with relevant issues.

About my class
