My non-fiction library is in desperate need of some approachable books for my beginning readers. I don't want my eager beginner readers to be intimidated by my library. A library should be a welcoming place, and place of comfort and ease. We are learning to read, and reading to learn. Every book put into our library is loved, especially our beginning readers. When a child can read a book for the first time, they hold on to that book for days! They re-read it, they re-tell it and they re-read their favorite pages, etc. They are so proud of themselves, as they should be. When a library is filled with books of all levels, everyone is learning, everyone is welcome, and everyone is comfortable.
