During our individual and group session, my students and I use web based programs that allow us to link together and participate in the same activities simultaneously. This Microsoft - Surface Go will allow student to use interactive web based program like inner explorer and nearpod to conduct self assessment and identify positive coping strategies to deal with conflict and other emotional triggers. These programs have online assessment and virtual tours that students can participate in while learning about their inner self. With this mobile device, I will have the flexibility to meet with my students in a more nurturing environment and on a more consistent basis. With mental health finally being pushed to the for front. I believe that it is up to me as a counselor to find the best way to connect with my students. This donation will make a huge difference in the lives of an at-risk population of students at my school.
