I am a first year teacher and as the school year begins I realize I do not have a lot of supplies for my students. I am teaching ESL, mostly Kindergarten, and I believe it is very important for my students to have books and materials to practice letter-sound correspondence. We also do not have many desks. I try to choose activities and projects we can all do on the rug together as a whole class or small groups. I also believe clipboards would be beneficial to use for writing on the rug! I want to give my ESL students the best year in Kindergarten!
