As a debate class and competitive team, we live on the edge of getting the best evidence and most up-to-date examples that we use to form arguments on any number of subjects. Often we travel around our own state and nearby states and have no way to access the best up-to-date evidence, a lot less be able to use that new information, in a Debate competition effectively. An example of this was last year when our team was at a Debate competition where one of my most talented students heard about a major change in opinion polls concerning last year's Presidential Election but couldn't access news articles about it in real time due to older technology and the inability to print that information while away from a computer lab. The question quickly became among our team what we could do to have helped him be better prepared for his competition by way of better and more effective use of technology. Our answer came via a technology plan which was mobile and easy to use. By helping to fund this project you allow talented students to have access to technology that they can use to quickly make connections and get into discussing real world issues with up to date technology, helping them achieve the highest levels of High School competition in the area of debate.
