Books are a readers' ability to travel to far off lands and meet interesting characters. My students have a limited amount of books in our classroom library and they need a larger variety of books to read. Thomas Jefferson said in a letter to John Adams in 1815, "I cannot live without books" and neither can my 4th graders. I have selected books that I know my students will enjoy reading. With the help of donors, my students will be able to be exposed to a wider variety of lands and characters through the books they are able to read.
