Providing each and every student with a high quality learning experience, tailored to their individual needs, is a challenge that my class and I face each and every day. Technology is an amazing tool that allows for students to be challenged on their individual readiness levels. We need Chromebooks and headphones to have daily guaranteed access to a variety of online materials in order to remediate and extend learning and understanding. The Chromebooks that I am asking for, via this grant, will allow my students to receive individual remediation and extension daily. The Chromebooks I am seeking will allow each of my students to have guaranteed daily access to rigorous and targeted learning and educationally engaging activities. My class makes use of a variety of web based learned programs, such as Lexia, Wonders, Prodigy, Raz-Kids, Wonderopolis, as well as Google Hyper docs and WebQuests. Students will be able to move at their own pace, backtracking and relearning or mastering and extending, with the guaranteed daily access these Chromebooks will provide. As students are individually and actively engaged I will be able to assist those students who need a little extra time and attention in remediation or extension via conferencing and small group work.
