Our youngest students often have the most energy. Many students become frustrated in the traditional desk-and-chair configuration found in many classrooms. By offering multiple seating options, I hope to provide the resources for my students to find their own learning style, and to feel comfortable in their space. My students are diverse learners - their classroom should reflect their diverse needs. Along with the flexible seating, I aim to provide my students with art making materials that reflect their heritage. People color crayons and papers allow students to create images that are true self-portraits, and they remove the possible frustrations and sadness that arise when a student feels unseen.
