My class is a medley of regular education students and students with special needs. My co-teacher and I have created a safe and friendly environment where all students help and support each other's learning. Students have learned how to self-assess, peer-assess, and create their own rubrics to be held accountable for their own progress throughout the school year. Our students have contributed to the code of conduct and monitor their own behavior by using tools such as checklists, behavior contracts, and RULER techniques which involve monitoring their feelings with a mood meter. We all look forward to sharing our progress and knowledge for this upcoming school year! <3 (:
