I am constantly trying to give my students opportunities to choose what they want to read. During Accountable Independent Reading time in class students choose a book from our class library to work with and enjoy. However, many of the books we have in our class library are outdated and are not all 'high interest' for my students. Seeing kids get excited about books is the best part of my job because it gives me hope for the future. With the right tools and experiences all of my students can be on the path to being lifelong readers and passionate citizens with a thirst for more knowledge. Please help me to fill my classroom library with the books that my students have requested. It will make a huge difference in our day to day learning and the lives of my students.
