This year I have over 350 students. I am teaching music in a wing of the building built in 1965. The technology available to me in the classroom, as it stands, includes chalk and a chalkboard. I love to use technology and have purchased a laptop as software programs to use with general music, chorus and instrumental music lessons. I was able to borrow a projector from the library and project the images onto the window shades. Miraculously, we're able to appeal to the masses with this set up. What we really need are good quality computer speakers. At this time, When we have the listening portion of the class, up to 28 students practicing exemplar listening skills are asked to absord the sound of the listening examples played from the laptop computer speaker. With good quality computer speakers, the students would get to have a better listening experience.
