I work with some pretty AMAZING students!!!! My students need cool down kits, snacks, and material to support/teach social skills. Cool down kits include items that help them calm down. It is a great way to help students when they are in distress, and the social skills material will promote ways to effectively communicate, learn, ask for help and get their needs met, teach how to develop healthy relations and making friends. Student's tend to get overwhelmed and may not remember the strategies they are taught, as a School Social Worker I help them along the way. As a School Social Worker I teach small groups that can consist of 10-12 students in grades Kg- 5th grade this school year. I also work one on one with many of our students.
