I am requesting a Skoog cube so that my students with limited mobility can create music in the classroom. The cube is synced to an app and activated by the slightest touch or squeeze, so each kid can be creative, collaborative, and successful while using any part of their body. With a Skoog cube, students in my class who lack the dexterity to play a traditional instrument will all be able to participate in creating, recording, and sharing music. Age-appropriate adapted musical instruments are hard to find - the Skoog cube is portable and uses the same technology that typical students are using in the classroom. This piece of equipment gives my students a method of self-expression and a way to connect with peers of all ability levels. I hope that this musical exploration can lead to collaborations, talent show performances, and more!
