Already artwork has been rained on, rolled up, and folded in efforts to continue working between the classroom and home. The portfolios will give these artists not only a way to carry their work to and from the school but also a place to collect all of their work for safe keeping. As it stands we have work stacked on the back tables and hidden away in storage closets. In an effort to keep Rome's first AP Studio Drawing class engaged beyond the classroom walls I need a safe method for students to transport their artwork. By the end of the year the students are expected to have at least 30 full projects completed, together, and in good shape. For many students it is not financially plausible for them to buy one on their own, especially after buying so many independent supplies. These portfolios will last AP Drawing students for years to come, and keep art works safe for many travels.
