Unfortunately, our school is a very old building and our classroom has no windows. This lack of natural light will be hard on my students because it means we have to rely solely on the overhead halogen lightbulbs. The overhead lights are often too bright for students. The light, as well as the noise they emit, can also overstimulate sensitive students. I would like to be able to light the classroom using LED string lights and lamps in order to reduce the possibility of overstimulation and allow my students to focus solely on their learning. LED lights do not utilize the same mechanisms, and therefore are much less likely to make a buzzing noise. I chose warm colors for the lights to ensure that they aren't overwhelming while still providing adequate lighting for learners. We have a very warm and welcoming atmosphere in our classroom and with your help our lighting to mirror that!
