It is scientifically proven that reading stimulates brain function and fosters creativity. Reading takes children to a new world and exposes them to experiences like no other. It opens their mind to new ideas and sparks their imagination. When children read a book, they interact with the text by asking questions, and making inferences. Thus, reading promotes problem solving and critical thinking skills while intellectually challenging them. The purchase of these new computers is for the purpose of checking out books in the library in order to promote high academic achievement for students and foster their love of reading in all academic areas.
