Walk into my and you'll see students everywhere. You might have to climb over some, and kneel down to talk to them, but they'll be working, reading, and learning. Flexible seating allows them to pick a space that allows them to learn depending on how they feel. Even though they choose their spot for the week, they know they can move to a new spot that makes them work better at anytime. I want them to walk in knowing that they don't have to think about their learning environment. The first set of materials will allow for more options for seating in our room. These new pieces will be incorporated into the list of options they currently choose from. Stability balls and wobble seats will help in staying focused, while stretch bands allow students to get movement in while working. The area rugs will become the center of the room along with the current yoga mats we have. Together all the pieces will be more than enough options for the current students to feel comfortable as they work on being stronger readers and writers.
