Our wonderful Title 1 school 10 miles from downtown Washington DC has approximately 450 students. The community has amazing families from around the world who love to see their children enjoy learning and growing. Over 65% of these children receive free and reduced lunch; wow, so many of our students are economically disadvantaged! I love to see those eager and curious faces light up when we get new books into our bright and sunny library. It is tremendously important to get appealing books into their hands so that they enjoy reading and learning. Being a small school, we have a proportionately small budget for books. How great it would be if we could add to our collection and engage these readers even more!
