Flexible seating, the new buzz words for teaching in the 21st century. I tried out flexible seating at the end of the 2016-2017 school year. In a million years I didn't think it would make a difference in my students' attention span. Boy, was I wrong. With the few options I had opened to the students I saw a big difference in attention, cooperation, and work output. I was able to give my students more autonomy in their seating, which empowered them as learners. Recess has gone away from school, students need to move and be active. Flexible seating by means of stability balls has given movement back to the students. To create a level of comfort, which enhances attention, I am asking for stability balls to add to my collection of seating choices. Adding more seating options will greatly enhance my students learning and enhance the level of achievement.
