Our low, comfortable seating will be used during class time to help the students focus on engaging in group time to further social emotional growth and language and academic development. The kinetic sand will provide hands-on sensory input for students to engage their minds and bodies, and help fine tune sensory regulation. When students are comfortable, they are able to regulate their senses and emotions to focus on learning much more effectively. We currently do not have a place to dry our precious art work, and having a drying rack that attaches to the wall will give us a space-saving way to let our art safely dry with the absence of little hands. The foam paint and fingerpaint paper will provide another hands-on way to learn, be creative, and experience sensory input in a positive manner.
