Having hydroponics systems in my classroom will enable my students to learn through hands-on experiences. I wish for my students to have opportunities beyond the textbook. Having these systems will enable my students to go deeper with their understanding of where our food comes from and how to be self sufficient. Many of them are interested in careers in science and I would like to give them the opportunity to explore the scientific process with hydroponics. My students will gain confidence, leadership, responsibility, and knowledge when it comes to food sources and various growing methods through hands-on exploration. These students are academically gifted and need the resources to go beyond the curriculum. Please support my project!
