In a day of instant gratification, we seem to photograph every moment of our lives; from major events to the daily moments, all are important when documenting life around us. Students today have phones to take their photos, but coming from an economically challenged community, many in my Digital Design class crave the desire to learn more about the “how to’s” of photography, but lack the equipment to do so. The DSLR cameras will educate students about how they can design every photo and document life as it evolves around us. My students already use the tools of Adobe Photoshop, so these photos will allow them to create numerous advanced digital art masterpieces for themselves and the school community to enjoy. What an inspiration to look at each memory for years to come.
