The classroom rugs, puppet, and books will make a huge difference in my classroom! Students will be able to gather around the rug, engage with their new class monster puppet, and listen to books that help them develop growth mindsets and positive attitudes about overcoming obstacles. These books will help them understand the criticial importance of establishing a growth mindset in a fun and engaging way. Students need to develop a positive attitude about learning in order to grow and progress. A friendly furry puppet to help them with transitioning from their desks to the floor would be so helpful especially with kids as young and curious as my little ones. The rugs will help me keep my students comfortable and engaged while they learn. The floor below our feet is cold laminate and not very inviting! It will also help to differentiate the area from our other learning spaces.
