My students have a wide range of exceptional abilities. This year we will be focused on centers with an emphasis on technology and writing.  Technology is a vital resource in our classroom. My class participates in interactive whole group learning on a smart board, and they have access to tablets and computers. I need headphones so that my students will be able to complete the reading and math programs during our technology center. I have chosen these specific headphones because some of my students have a sensitivity to sound, and these allow me to regulate the volume without changing the computer settings each time they rotate to this center. During our small group center, my students will each have a math and writing journal. The notebooks I have chosen will allow my students to paste the assignment in the top portion and complete the work in the bottom portion. Each student has varying levels of handwriting skills, so these journals will allow all students to participate on his or her level of ability. The dry erase pockets and magnetic hooks will be utilized an in an independent center where the students will be able to complete an assignment with very little supervision from an adult. In this center, we will focus on handwriting and fine motor skills.
