My classroom needs a new carpet for students to sit on during classroom instruction, small group activities, and other meeting times. We gather on the carpet so that students can connect with each other during meetings, and focus easily with being in close proximity of the speaker. Our current rug is not suitable for its purpose at this time. Students are crammed, too close for comfort, sitting on the cold tile, or too far away too see or the speaker or Smartboard. Students do not have the space to spread out with their materials as needed without running into inconveniences. A new rug will help little minds focus and not worry about personal space and discomfort.
