I teach at a city school in New Jersey. The 5 and 6 year olds in my kindergarten are intelligent, motivated, creative and delightful. Many come from families who are first or second generation immigrants. These families are close-knit and want the very best for their children. Most are very involved in their child's education. Every day, my students come in excited to learn. My desire is to provide a learning environment that will spark creativity and imagination as well as foster the development of social, cognitive and physical skills. To instill a joy of reading and a love of books is a foundational goal in my classroom.
