These headphones will help my students better access the math material in their classroom. My co-taught math inclusion class relies on a online math tutorials, videos, and games that require headphones. The district provided Chromebooks for all of the students, but they did not provide headphones. Headphones would allow my students to focus on their individual math tutorials and to use text to speech technology. Currently, students must be taken to a separate room if they need to watch any math videos or to listen to anything on the computer. This helps decrease noise levels which is important because my room is separated from another classroom by a thin curtain. Headphones would also allow students to use text to speech functions on their computer instead of having me take them to a separate room to read their questions. Headphones are often overlooked for their importance, but to my students headphones can make all the difference in their math education.
