Hello there. Let me start by saying thank you for visiting my classroom site. I am excited to share some of my classroom ideas with you. I am a brand new teacher and needless to say, building a classroom is more challenging than I ever expected. I have been helped so much by the staff at my building with their donations of materials and supplies and I greatly appreciate their support. My goal is to make the classroom a place the students want to come to. Many students do not enjoy Social Studies class, and I want to make sure that every student who comes into my classroom leaves with a love and passion for the subject. The students in my classes do not have a lot of resources. Many come from broken families, live below poverty levels, and some even worry about parents/guardians being deported. Due to these concerns and stressors, many families are simply not able to obtain the materials on a school supply list.
