My students need to rug to make our classroom complete! In this classroom we spread out and do our work in comfy spots all around the room. We start each day at the floor where we meet for our morning meeting. It is a great time to connect and learn about new friends! We like to snuggle with stuffed animals as we read at the floor and around the room. We even do our partner writing at the floor! As the day progresses, we work with partners and small groups, and someone is always at the floor - usually with the teacher. Cooperative learning is a must! These kids share, create, and effectively communicate with classmates. The open floor area is always a coveted spot. The floor area is a place where kids can move and groove as they grow and learn!
