My students are very eager to learn and enjoy working in small group activities. Many of them take ownership of their work and behavior, and love to exceed my expectations. My students live in an urban area of Baltimore City, where most of them receive free or reduced lunch. Therefore, many of them lack experiences and exposures that more privileged students may recognize as common. Nonetheless, many of the students do not have learning resources in their homes and solely rely on the school for tools and life experiences. However, there is not enough funding available for the school to provide us with new and up to date material for the students to enjoy. Therefore, my class would be very appreciative of new materials to enhance the student's educational experience.
