Our students experience and are challenged by diversity and difference on a daily basis. The diversity of our school extends to socio-economics, race and ethnicity, community and culture, and personal experiences. Despite these differences, and because of them, each student and staff member on our campus daily contributes to an amazing school culture focused on open-mindedness, excellence, and equity. I teach 8th grade math, both to highly motivated students, and to students that struggle in the subject. Although we work hard to achieve content mastery, our primary goal in my classroom is to value each other over the work. My students and I strive to create a community/family focused on positive relationships, positive culture, and helping each other to build belief in oneself and a growth mindset.
